Your Favorite 2009 Recording
I hope you don’t mind if I invite your participation from time to time. I realize blogs are often something you read when you have a few minutes before beginning your busy day or maybe at the end of a long day before heading for bed but the Body of Christ is to be encouraging to each other and I would love to get to know you a bit as well.
Today, I would love to know what your favorite recording is from last year and why it’s such a blessing to you.
For myself, I think I would list “Worth It” from Brian Free and Assurance right at the top. Just about every song has a strong lyrical content and encouragement that I’ve needed, and it’s encouraged me to pray for their group and others who are continuing to travel and spread the Hope that the world needs to hear.
Collingsworth Family, The Answer
I haven’t heard that one. Do you have a favorite song off of it?
“Almost Morning” by the Perrys was my favorite CD for 2009. Every song on this CD is good, but “If You Knew Him”, “Almost Morning”, and “Did I Mention” are three of the most powerful songs I have ever heard. By the way, “Worth It” by Brian Free and Assurance was my second favorite for 2009.
I have not heard the whole CD of “Almost Morning” but I have heard “If You Knew Him” and agree that it is a powerful song. That is on my list of CDs I want to get.
Sony – probably “Oh the Thought that Jesus Loves Me” or “Fear Not Tomorrow”; both are on YouTube.
The Isaacs- Naturally!!
Jason Crabb- Jason Crabb!!!
For me, it would be a cross between The Perry’s – Almost Morning, The Isaacs – Naturally, and Collingsworth Family – The Answer. I would also throw Jeff and Sheri Easter’s Expecting Good Things into that list. Although it was not actually released until 2010 in the mainstream, I got mine in 2009 and fell in love with it immediately.
