Joshua Ball Hospitalized
I just found out that Joshua Ball, one of the original Ball Brothers, ended up in the ER on September 4 due to pancreatitis. He is in need of gall bladder surgery but they are not able to operate right now due to infection. It sounds like he is still having a hard time of it. Please keep Josh and his family in your prayers. You may keep up with his condition via The Ball Brothers’ Facebook page and, if you would like to donate to help with his medical expenses, a Go Fund Me account has been set up for that purpose.
We will be fervently praying for Josh Ball! I’d like to share my experience with acute pancreatitis. About 2 years ago, I came down with the most severe pain I’ve ever had. I was doubled over, in severe pain, and when I got to our local hospital, after tests the doctors said they would have to send me to the regional hospital, about 105 miles away. The regional hospital had the specialists that I needed for the scope operation to remove gallstones that were blocking both my pancreatic and liver ducts. My pancreas had a bad infection. When I got to the regional hospital, I got the best of care in the ICU. I had to wait nearly a week for the infection to clear up, with the strong antibiotics, enough to undergo the scope gall bladder stone removal operation. It was touch and go a few times for me, during that time, when I started shivering violently for a while. I’d like to share the power of prayer that helped me. Many people prayed for me. When I got in the hospital, my pastor and deacon called and prayed with me! Just before my first operation both my pastor and deacon called and prayed with me. My family prayed as well. The operation was successful and had my second operation, where they removed my gallbladder a few days later. I believe it was the power of prayer that got me through the very difficult illness and surgeries. Even Jason Crabb and his social family were praying for me. The Lord answers prayer and miracles do happen! Again, we will be praying for the Lord’s healing and wisdom for the doctors and entire medical team for Josh Ball.
Thank you for sharing. I know too that God still performs miracles. What a mighty God we serve!
